News ReleaseNorth American Gem Inc. Has Received a Permit Extension for the Phase 1 Diamond Drilling Program on Louise LakeMarch 31, 2005: North American Gem Inc. (The Company) is pleased to announce that an extension for the “exemption” of the “Road Use Permit” and the “Free Use Permit” has been authorized by the British Columbia Forest Service until April 20th, 2005. The exemption allows North American Gem Inc. time to continue drilling a seventh drill hole. This hole will test the up-dip extension of the higher grade zone encountered in Hole LL-05-02, and will be located approximately 100m to the south of LL-05-02. The drilling progress is moving ahead efficiently and we are currently drilling our fifth drill hole of the now planned seven drill holes for the Phase 1 program. Results are expected from the third drill hole in the next few weeks. North American Gem Inc. will be attending the Calgary Mining Forum on April 6-7th. We will be located at booth #20 in the Niagara Room, on the second floor of the downtown Ramada Hotel (708 - 8th Avenue SW). North American Gem Inc. will also be attending the Calgary Resource Investment Conference on April 10-11th. We will be located at booth #323 in the Calgary Convention Centre (120 - 9th Avenue SE). North American Gem Inc. (the Company) has granted subject to regulatory approval, directors, officers, consultants and employees incentive stock options of the Company to purchase in the aggregate 900,000 common shares in the capital stock of the Company per the Company’s Stock Option Plan for a period of 2 years at a price of $0.16 per share. Carl Schulze, BSc, P.Geo, is the Qualified Person for the Louise Lake project, in accordance with regulations under National Instrument 43-101. About North American Gem Inc.
