North American Gem Inc. Begins Phase 2 Surface Program

June 14, 2005: North American Gem Inc. (NAG: TSX-V) wishes to announce that it has begun a ground program, the first part of the Phase 2 program on the Louise Lake property. The program will include; detailed mapping and sampling, of areas covered by the southwestern "Coal Creek" geochemical anomaly, along the Coal Creek lineament, south of the Main Zone; detailed mapping and systematic soil sampling along north-south lines west of the known Main Zone, and southwest of it in areas of copper geochemical anomalies delineated in 1970; detailed exploration east of the Main Zone, and in the vicinity of the collars of Holes LL-05-04 through LL-05-06, where mineralization was intersected on surface about 200 - 250 meters north of the Main Zone; reconnaissance traverses across new property areas, particularly south of Louise Lake and the western extension of the Coal Creek fault.

In summary of the Phase 1 program, DDH LL-05-06 is 755 meters east of DDH LL-05-01, confirming this distance as the minimum strike length of the Main Zone. Results of DDH LL-05-06 confirm that down-dip extension of mineralization extends along this entire distance. The Main Zone remains open to the east and west, and down-dip to the north (Please refer to the North American Gem Inc. May 2/05 press release).

A Phase 2 drill program will be planned and then scheduled for the summer/fall of 2005 after the data from the ground program is analyzed. A scoping study will then be carried out following the Phase 2 drill program.

Carl Schulze, BSc, PGeo, is the Qualified Person for the project, in accordance with regulations under National Instrument 43-101.
