NORTH AMERICAN GEM INC. & STRATHMORE MINERALS REPORT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON DUDDRIDGE LAKE URANIUM PROPERTY, SASKATCHEWAN

August 31, 2005: North American Gem Inc. (NAG: TSX-V) and Strathmore Minerals Corp. (STM: TSX-V) (“Strathmore”) wish to provide the following additional information on the Duddridge Lake Uranium Property, further to its news release of August 18, 2005. The Duddridge Lake Property encompasses approximately 10,000 hectares and is located about 100 km northwest of LaRonge, Saskatchewan.

Based upon available drill hole information, independent consulting geologist Stuart Fraser, M.Sc., P.Geol., who is a qualified person under NI 43-101, estimated (May 28, 2004) an inferred mineral resource of 215,016 tonnes with an average grade of 2.14 lbs/tonne U3O8 for the Duddridge Lake Property. The estimate is based on several historic drill holes, about which resource blocks were constructed, and projected a maximum distance of 30 meters. A specific gravity of 2.4 was used to determine the tonnage for each resource block. A cut-off grade of 0.7 lbs U3O8 per ton was employed. The original drill core was not available for re-sampling; however, the 43-101 report for Duddridge Lake relies on published and unpublished reports available as assessment reports from the Saskatchewan Mines Branch in Regina, Saskatchewan. The reports pertain to exploration fieldwork completed by senior Noranda geologists; as well as, consulting geological groups including Dolmage Campbell & Associates of Vancouver. The information provided by Noranda Exploration and Dolmage Campbell is considered to be accurate and of very good quality. Fraser noted that the stratabound Uranium and Copper mineralization at Duddridge Lake has only been drill tested to a depth of 80 m, and additional drilling is recommended to test the mineralization at depth. The 43-101 technical report for Duddridge Lake, filed August 13, 2004 on SEDAR, is available for review at www.sedar.com. Strathmore has recently completed a program of basal till sampling at the property. Information from the project is currently being compiled, in preparation for a program of ground geophysics and drilling scheduled for 4th quarter of 2005 and the 1st quarter of 2006.

This news was prepared on behalf of the company by Jody Dahrouge, P.Geol., of Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd., Edmonton, Alta. Mr. Dahrouge is the qualified person responsible for the exploration of Duddridge Lake.
